The Greater Hartford Aikikai logo signifies the circular nature of aikido movements. The dot represents the center of the circle and its movement. The center is anchored and not easily moved. The edge of the circle is in constant motion. The position of the center determines the intensity of this motion and how it is employed. The center moves according to the physical and mental elements of an encounter.
